Christmas Cantata and Programs

What a wonderful day to be in the House of the Lord. It was a glorious Sunday worship here at Northeast. The music today was just beautiful!

Our services today were a little different. Both our messages were brought to us in song today. In the morning, our Adult Choir and Youth brought a Christmas Cantata for the message: Breath of Heaven. It was very moving, as it told the Christmas Story though they eyes of Mary and Joseph, and looking back to the scriptures of Isaiah, who foretold the Messiah’s coming. In the evening service, our Children’s Choir group brought the message with their Christmas program, A Tree Lot Christmas. It took a group of children and the “Pay it Forward” concept to change the heart of an old curmudgeon, who had lost his love for Christmas due to life’s circumstances. Thousands of years ago, Christ “Paid it Forward” for us by giving His life to save us. No greater gift has ever been given. A big applause to all who were involved with these two performances, whether in front of the scenes directing or performing or behind the scenes, neither one could have been successful without the many hands.
