I can’t do that! I don’t have enough…! No doubt you have made these statements at one time or another. Many times Christians resort to using these statements and view the Lord’s will with impossibility. It is probably true, you “can’t do that!” Or you might “not have enough…” But to be truthful. It is really about what you can do, or is it more about what you’re willing to let the Lord do through you? Don’t forget! If God is calling you, He is equipping you.

We seem not to have any problems planning our lives out, even taking some risks to accomplish that which we desire to accomplish. If it is something we really want to do, chance we are “gonna get ‘er done.” But in all our planning are we planning Christ out of our lives? We quote Jeremiah 29:11 when we like the potential for positive outcomes. But remember God knows all the plans He has for you. You see, God has given us the opportunity to see the Lord’s will and plans on a daily basis. He doesn’t force Himself on us. Much of the time we settle for what is “good” rather than what is “God.” We have that choice to link up with Him and see the greater plans He has in store. Ask yourself these questions: Am I where I know God wants me to be? Am I allowing Him to use me as He sees fit?

Jesus did say to disciples, “Lo, I am with you always.” If Christ is with us and He knows the plans He has for us, why do we make it so hard? All God desires from us is a willingness to be used by Him. His main concern is our availability, not our abilities. He wants us to make ourselves available!

Be reminded of 2 Tim. 2:20-21, “Now in a large house there are not only gold and silver vessels, but also vessels of wood and of earthenware, and some to honor and some to dishonor. Therefore, if anyone cleanses himself from these things, he will be a vessel for honor, sanctified, useful to the Master, prepared for every good work.”

Lord help me make myself “Ready to be Used.”

I want to say thank you to those brothers and sisters who have served in so many ways this summer. Northeast had a great showing to help out with our West Central Baptist Association Children’s Youth and High School camps. Thank you for all those who helped with Vacation Bible School here at Northeast. Lord bless those who ministered at Soul Survivor camp in Artesian Park. And thank you Lord for raising up more workers who lead Praise Camp.

God Bless You as You Serve Him

Brother Joey
