As a Christian we have the greatest news to share, the greatest purpose to live and the greatest reason to look forward to heaven.  We have constant reminders that we serve a Savior that even death could not stop.  Every week we worship on the “Lord’s Day”, the day He rose from the dead.  We remember His death, burial and resurrection through baptism and the Lord’s Supper.  We have Easter Cantatas and sing songs about serving a risen Savior because we believe His resurrection really did happen! The fact that Jesus Christ was raised from the dead changes everything.

Paul writes in 1 Corinthians 15:12-19, “Now if Christ is preached, that He has been raised from the dead, how do some among you say that there is no resurrection of the dead? 13 But if there is no resurrection...

What a wonderful day to be in the House of the Lord.  It was a glorious Sunday worship here at Northeast. What can wash away my sins?  Nothing but the blood of Jesus!  Oh how thankful we should be for that thought!

Have you ever moved away from home, say, to go to college or for a job, only to return years later for a visit, and run into an old acquaintance? Jesus.  Temptation is common to every one (1 Cor. 10:13). There are numerous accounts of saints in the Bible who fell to temptation, but God is faithful and does not allow the Christian to be tempted beyond what they are able to endure.  God provides the way out of temptation.  Just like...

50/500

This year marks the anniversaries of two significant events in the life of Northeast Baptist Church.  One happened fifty years ago and the other five hundred years ago.

Northeast Baptist church was started by First Baptist Church as a mission outreach to the Northern area of Clinton, Missouri.  This mission eventually constituted as a church and on August 13, 1967, the mission was accepted into the Missouri Baptist Convention as Northeast Baptist Church.

October 31st, 1517, a German monk by the name of Martin Luther nailed a list of ninety-five charges against the church, each one describing the neglect of God’s Word in church polity, practice and proclamation.  In other words, the church and leadership was not living out the Word of God.  This event became known as the “Pro...
