News Release 2-26-17

What a wonderful day to be in the House of the Lord.  It was a glorious Sunday worship here at Northeast. We were blessed with the song “Holy Spirit, you are welcomed here; come flood this place and fill the atmosphere.  Your Glory, Lord is what our hearts long for, to be overcome by your presence Lord.”  Come be among us, Lord, is our prayer.

Our theme was “Fulfilling All.”  Jesus did just that…He came to fulfill all scripture, all God’s plan.  Looking at Luke 3:21-38, we see Jesus is baptized, not because He had to, but because He chose to, to follow the will of His Father.  He is our example.  We are baptized as an outward sign of the forgiveness of our sins, an exchange of His blood for our sins.  He did this even though He hadn’t sinned.  The Jews of...

When you hear the word “fellowship”, what comes to mind?  Some may immediately think “Church Dinner!”  Others may think of the good relationship they may have with others.  The word “fellowship” in Greek is “koinonia”.  Koinonia, as its ultimate meaning, is being of the same heart and mind as another.  It means sharing more than one thing in common.  Koinonia means sharing all things in common.  If you are like me, there’s a lot of work to be done in my life to have this kind of “fellowship” with others.  I am too absorbed in myself.  Without Christ in my life, I have the natural slant to be the “lover of self” Paul warns me not to be in 2 Timothy 3:2.

Praise the Lord! As Christians we have hope and help! We have a new nature! Christ brings this...
